Tim Stevens - Alresford YFC

[none]

About Me

Name: Tim Stephens.

Club:
Alresford YFC.

YFC Involvement:
Current chairman. Joined in January last year have tried to take part in as many events and parties as possible.

Your Family: Mum, Dad and one brother. As well as  a whole raft of other relatives that you only seem to see at funerals.

Your Occupation: Farmer. Work at home running the family farm alongside my dad

Your Hobbies: Fishing, restoring old tractors, beer drinking and that old chestnut:- socializing at YFC.

Your Nickname:  There have been many over the years some of which are not publishable! and there are others that I didn't want! Currently there isn’t one.

Your Ambitions: To see the world from the comfort of my own home using the new-fangled technology of Television! Seriously though, my ambition has always been to farm so as I am doing that already my ambition is now to increase the size of the farm.

Favourite YFC Activity: I haven’t got a favorite as such as, over the past year I have tried a lot of activities. Competitions days have been really good as I get a good sense of achievement out of some of the activities. Parties are also pretty good but I don’t feel as good the next morning!

Your Claim to Fame: I once wrote to Jim'll Fixit. I wasn’t featured on the program. He didn’t even write back!

Your Favourite Food: I eat almost anything including Haggis. My favorite food is therefore most food. Although pig is particularly good.

Your most Embarrassing Moment: Falling down a drain while walking back from Newport to Harper after being out on the beer. Its not funny I nearly lost a leg! There was no one else so it wouldn't have been embarrassing if I hadn't told people about and a acquired one those nick names which had to be explained to everyone that asked.

If you had to be an Animal: A giraffe. Because as a farmer It would make peering over hedges that bit easier when driving.

Lifes Highlights: Has to be young farmer social events.

Lifes Lowlights: The stress caused by bad weather when farming.
