Stockbridge YFC Club Report:
For
some time now, the area have wanted to start a new YFC club in the area to give
the older children something to do.
The
first meeting was held on the 21st August, to gauge interest and
support for a club in the area. This proved to be a great success with 15
potential members and parents coming to the meeting. On the 4th
September, the weather was kind to us and we managed to hold a successful BBQ
and Games night with again the membership growing. On the 18th
September we had a junior quiz night in preparation for the county rounds. We also held a business meeting to discuss
the functions of County, National and the roles within the club.
On
30th October we held a pumpkin carving evening with Peter Mason, and
some senior members helping us out with the pumpkins. The evening went with a
“Bang”, (if you were there you will understand!) and everyone enjoyed themselves,
with only one casualty on the night which happened to be a senior member, who
will need supervision in the future!
Our
AGM will be on the 27th November - this will be when we appoint the
officers of the club
