North East Hants YFC Club Report:

On October 16th 2008 at Heckfield Village Hall, we held our first AGM to launch NORTH EAST HANTS YFC.

Peter Mason, (County President) Rachel Foote, Rob Miller and Pete Niccolls were there to guide us through the evening and to answer any questions.

Peter Mason did a sterling job as 'chair' and the result being more enthusiasm than we expected - Thank you Peter!

There was a turnout of 51 people, mostly being youngsters, which was fantastic.

Treasurer - Oliver Bushnell
Press Officer - Nick Cade
Scrap book Officer - Megan Head

We started off in the summer with outdoor activities such as good old Rounder’s, Cricket and a Barbeque. We were desperate to establish ourselves as a member of the official Young Farmers Club! So on October the 16th we launched ourselves into the unknown!!!

Our first event was a trip to Holdshott Farm, where the local butcher gave a fantastic demonstration on how to cut up and joint a Sheep, Pig and some Chicken.

Our Chairman Louis Phillips welcomed everyone and ran through a few items, such as forthcoming events. Then after a really informative and fun evening Megan Head thanked Roger and Cathy on behalf of the club.

We are looking forward to a talk on the history of our local church in Heckfield and surrounding area [Why did the Vicar carry a weapon during the service?!!!!]

Then we are going to visit on Dec 11th at 5.45pm, Millars Ark for a Christmas Nativity.

The new year bring lots of fun evenings,
