What is YFC?

YFC (Young Farmers Club's) is a Voluntary Youth Organisation for young people in the 10-26 age group. However, it is not solely a Club for farmers and their sons and daughters, or indeed for people involved in agriculture.
YFC is a recognised National Charity, which has full National backing and is politically neutral. It is made up of a number of autonomous localised Clubs, Run by the Members for the Members. Only Club Members and their representatives have voting rights and so only members can decide upon the content of their Club programme.
In Hampshire the are 13 rurally based Clubs, who collectively form the 'Hampshire Federation of Young Farmers' Club's'.

Are you aged between 10 - 26 years?

They call us 'Young Farmers' but 'You don't have to be a farmer to be a Young Farmer!'
We do, however enjoy being in the Countryside as well as indoors and we enjoying having fun wherever we are!
So, if you are aged between 10 - 26 and are looking to have some Fun & fancy a bit of something different? If yes, then Hampshire YFC is the place to be! The only qualification required to join Hampshire YFC is an interest in the Countryside and rural life.

What does YFC have to offer?

There is so much to do in YFC. You will meet new friends, enter a host of Competitions - choose from 37 competitions to take part in, including Sports, Performing Arts, Crafts, Public Speaking & Stock Judging to name just a few.
Go Traveling! Widen your horizons with the NFYFC (National Federation of Young Farmers' Club's) Discovery Programme - travel, meet new people and experience other cultures via Discovery's homestays, development exchanges and team travel excursions.
Get involved in Rural Issues. NFYFC provides opportunities for you to exchange information about current issues affecting young people, to have your voice heard and to influence your local community.
Get an NFYFC Skills for Life Certificate. The NFYFC Skills for Life Certificate programme enables you to gain Certificates by taking part in a range of educational, recreational and vocational courses.
